Neighbor to Neighbor of South Carolina (N2NSC), a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) serving Horry and Georgetown Counties has been named Marketing Strategies’ SparkStart recipient for 2018. “We could not think of a more deserving organization,” said Agency Principal, Denise Blackburn-Gay, APR.
Neighbor to Neighbor of South Carolina serves Horry and Georgetown Counties by providing door-to-door transportation for home-bound seniors, and chronically ill or disabled adults. More importantly, it promotes social interaction in the lives of our aging population.
“SparkStart was developed from an agency-wide push to give something back to those in our area who give so much of their time and energy to others. By offering public relations consultation and marketing assistance, we are providing the fundamentals that help non-profit organizations thrive for years to come,” Blackburn-Gay said.
Previous recipients have included the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society, Waccamaw Youth Center, the Horry County Historical Society, and Katie’s Project just to name a few. Historically, funds have been used to produce logos, brochures, and to host special events.
SparkStart is a $2,500 public relations and marketing grant designed for Horry County non-profits and offered annually through Marketing Strategies, Inc. To be eligible, the organization must be in Horry County, or do 80% of their business within the County. Applications are accepted annually between October 1 and December 31, and applicants are notified of their status on or before January 1 of the following calendar year.
