Myrtle Beach, SC–Marketing Strategies, Inc. a Myrtle Beach PR and marketing firm is now accepting applications for SparkStart, a $2,500 public relations and marketing grant designed for Horry County non-profits and offered annually.
To be eligible, the organization must be a 501(c)(3) located in Horry County and must conduct 80% of its business within the County.
“SparkStart was developed from an agency-wide push to give something back to those in our area who give so much of their time and energy to others. By offering public relations consultation and marketing assistance, we are providing the fundamentals that help non-profit organizations thrive for years to come,” said Denise Blackburn-Gay, President of Marketing Strategies, Inc.
“Good marketing materials can make a world of difference, adding credibility and
professionalism to an organization. This is essential to all businesses, especially if you are in the business of asking others to invest in your mission,” she continued.
SparkStart recipients are chosen based on the needs and goals of the organization. “We work with each group to transform their complex needs and issues into simple and powerful messages that will move others into action. Our goal is to educate and inspire great things for not only the organization but for those who stand to benefit from the hard work of so many,” Blackburn-Gay said.
2018’s recipient was Neighbor-to-Neighbor. Previous recipients have included the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society, Waccamaw Youth Center, the Horry County Historical Society, and Katie’s Project.
