The LoVe Pet Clinic, a low-cost spay and neuter facility located at 8716 Highway 90 in Longs, SC. has been named Marketing Strategies’ SparkStart recipient for 2019. “We could not think of a more deserving organization,” said Agency Principal, Denise Blackburn-Gay, APR.

The Clinic is a non-profit 501 c3 organization set up for the sterilization of pets and strays with same-day surgeries performed every Wednesday. Founded in 2015 by Michelle LoPinto, care is provided by local veterinarian, Dr. Kate Gibson and veterinary technician, Cindy Sapp. To date the Clinic has spayed/neutered 1,133 dogs and 1,471 cats and that number continues to grow.

“SparkStart was developed from an agency-wide push to give something back to those in our area who give so much of their time and energy to others. By offering public relations consultation and marketing assistance, we are providing the fundamentals that help non-profit organizations thrive for years to come,” Blackburn-Gay said.

Previous recipients have included Neighbor to Neighbor, Waccamaw Youth Center, the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society, the Horry County Historical Society, and Katie’s Project to name a few. Historically, funds have been used to produce logos, brochures, and to host special events.
