Cormier Chosen for Internship Program

Myrtle Beach, SC—Marketing Strategies, Inc. announces the appointment of Melanie Cormier to PRinciplesSM, the Agency's Public Relations internship program.
Cormier, a native of New Brunswick, Canada, will graduate from Coastal Carolina University in May 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. While a student at Coastal, Cormier has been involved in several student and community organizations, including the Theater of the Republic. Prior to joining Marketing Strategies, Inc., she completed an internship program with The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant.
“We’re pleased to have Melanie join our firm and look forward to working with her,” said Denise Blackburn, APR, Agency President. “Our PRinciplesSM program has given us the opportunity to work with many young professionals as they complete their college course work and determine the direction of their careers.”
The agency has accepted internships since its inception, however the PRinciplesSM Program was established in 2005. PRinciplesSM internship program provides students with hands-on experience in public relations allowing interns to participate in all company activities, especially training sessions, to develop the skills they will need for a successful future.
