SparkStart is a year-long program in which Marketing Strategies Inc. provides basic marketing skills and limited financial and professional assistance to an area charity in an effort to help them help those in need.

The program, which began in 2005, was the result of an agency-wide push to do something for non-profit organizations within Horry County whose efforts touch the lives of others. Each year, agency personnel suggest organizations and review their needs to determine the SparkStartSM recipient.
